Elizabeth Logan grew up among the farmlands of central Illinois, and one of her favorite childhood memories is picking raspberries from her neighbor’s bushes each summer. Her interest in plants began when she moved to LA and grew a vegetable and herb container garden on her apartment balcony. Impressed by their beauty, importance, and usefulness, she fell in love with native plants last spring while taking a field botany class at Pasadena City College. After spending the majority of her career working with nonprofit organizations, the last decade in museums, Elizabeth joined the L.A. Native Plant Connection team in April. She’s excited to expand her plant knowledge and spend more time with nature away from a desk!
